These are simple shotgun style rooms, well lighted with lamps and a lot of windows. Note the wall sconces are almost all tied to the solar panel system which has its own battery bank for nighttime use. Note our construction style is a blend of Modern/California and Panamanian. The bathroom has a curb-less shower, large tub, etc., and a lot of lamps.
This is the terrace. It is enclosed with security glass, and in addition we added a security door where the terrace enters the house. There are hooks on the walls for hammocks, and screens on the clerestory windows.
This is the bathroom in the extension. It has a large tub, a rare commodity in Panama. And a curb-less shower. It is plumbed to accept a demand or tank water heater (there is a demand heater ready to install) Note that the wall sconces are mostly all running off the solar panels.
This is the bedroom in the extension. Its big.with a good sized loft for storage.
This is the living area in the extension. Its a large room, complete with a storage space above the passage way between old and new house. It has provisions for entertainment, embedded cables in the walls for TV and networking, 12 volt power outlets to take advantage of the solar power if there were to be an outages, etc.
This is the original casita, kitchen, sitting area, with fireplace, and bedroom. I don’t seem to have video of the bathroom which has a washer and dryer, shower, toilet, etc. Its small, but functional.
This is taken from in front of the house.
This is the utility room where we have the pump, solar panel batteries, etc.
